Founded in 2013, Professional Emergency Medicine Management (PEMM) supports ten contracts throughout nine facilities in southern Louisiana. Led by the group’s President Dr. Shammi Kataria, PEMM joined Emergency Care Partners (ECP) in September of 2018.

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, the main campus of the Memorial Health System, is the region’s largest family-centered medical complex, serving the healthcare needs of Southwest Louisiana. The main campus consists of 313 licensed acute care beds on Oak Park Boulevard. The hospital’s state-of-the-art, 15,102 sq. ft. Medical Intensive Care Unit opened in 2016 on the 9th Floor of the main campus. The existing 10,180 sq. ft., on the 3rd floor Surgical ICU will undergo renovations. Between these two units, Memorial has the largest critical care capacity in southwest Louisiana with a total of 36 beds.
The 40-bed Emergency Department is just under 26,000 sq. ft. and includes specialized treatment areas for critical care, mental health, and fast track non-critical care designed to improve the care process and reduce wait times. The emergency department sees approximately 60,000 patients per year and is supported by an outstanding team of APPs, nurses, and administrative staff.

Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is dedicated to handling all medical emergencies quickly and accurately. Our emergency physicians are here 24 hours a day to help you go from critical to comfortable as quickly as possible. The emergency department sees approximately 39,000 patients per year, features 17 beds with a dedicated fast track, and utilizes Meditech EMR.

West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) is a 107-bed facility located in Sulphur, Louisiana, and provides a full range of medical services, including emergency care, surgery, occupational therapy, pediatrics, psychiatry, imaging, wound care, sports medicine, and sleep studies. The hospital also operates a medical rehabilitation center, nursing home, skilled nursing unit, outpatient clinics, and a home health agency.

Opelousas is one of the oldest cities in Louisiana. Opelousas was founded in 1720 and populated by travelers, traders, Native Americans, Creoles, and those of French and Spanish descent. At one time, it was the capital of Louisiana. This city has an array of museums and restaurants, so visitors are sure to find something special here. Opelousas is known as the Zydeco Capital of the world. Live Zydeco music is abundant here and many of the musicians live in St. Landry Parish.
