Interview with Dr. Yerton

Q: When did you decide to become a physician?

I decided to become a physician when I was a teenager. In high school, I became a volunteer EMT and worked as a Paramedic in CollegeMy early experience with helping people in crisis led me to pursue a career in health care.

Q: What is your favorite part about working with Missouri Physician Partners and Emergency Care Partners (ECP)?

Having worked in EM for many years, I have had the opportunity to work as a hospital employee, a partner of a democratic group, and with several large contract management corporations. In my role as President of MPP, I am pleased to see how ECP fulfills its mission to support physicians and their practice by freeing them from the responsibilities of managing the minutia of corporate medicine. ECP has been excellent in providing vital support, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, and robust leadership.

Q: What do you find most exciting about your job?

How health care is delivered in America is in the midst of a seismic shift. I’m excited to be at the forefront of this change.

Q: Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?

I spend my time outside work with my family, traveling, and planning travel. I love to golf and spend time outdoors as much as possible.
